Thinning hair on the crown & hair line? Start with a quick, comfortable, no-downtime treatment

TrichoPAT is a non-invasive, multi-step scalp treatment designed to support hair growth and reduce shedding.

Is this you?

Hair thinning is common. Up to 80% of men and 50% of women experience pattern hair loss by age 40. If you’ve noticed a wider parting, a more visible scalp or finer hair, a consultation can show what’s causing it and whether TrichoPAT suits you.

What is TrichoPAT?

TrichoPAT is a treatment for thinning hair on the crown, developed by Italian dermatologists and offered at Terra Medical Clinic. It combines three technologies in one 20-minute session.

How it works:

  1. Prepare and nourish: Your scalp is cleansed, then a serum with growth factors and peptides is applied to thinning areas.
  2. Stimulate and deliver: A patented acoustic tip uses shockwave therapy to create micro-channels in the scalp. This boosts blood flow and helps the serum penetrate deeper.
  3. Activate: Iontophoresis and low-level laser light further stimulate follicle activity and support serum absorption.

Your Treatment Journey
  • Course: 6 treatments over 18 weeks, about 3 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions follow every 4–6 weeks.
  • Each visit: About 20 minutes. No downtime, and you can return to your day straight away.
  • What patients notice: Many see reduced shedding by sessions 2–3, and improved thickness and density by sessions 4–6. Results vary by individual.
For Hair Shedding (Telogen Effluvium)

Shedding more than usual after stress, illness or a major life change?

Telogen effluvium is sudden, diffuse shedding, often triggered by stress, illness, postpartum changes or nutritional factors. At Terra, your doctor first identifies the likely trigger. TrichoPAT can then be used as part of your plan to support scalp health and encourage regrowth while your hair recovers.

Why choose Terra's approach?

Hair loss rarely has one cause, so TrichoPAT works on several fronts at once: serum, shockwave and light therapy. Your doctor tailors the plan to your type of hair loss and can combine TrichoPAT with other treatments where appropriate.

Is it comfortable?
Most patients describe the treatment as comfortable, similar to a gentle massage. Some feel mild sensitivity near the temples, which your practitioner can ease by adjusting the handpiece.

Who is it for?
Adults 18 and above with thinning or shedding as described above. TrichoPAT isn’t suitable for scarring (cicatricial) or traction alopecia, or hair loss from scars. Special precautions apply for pregnancy, pacemakers, cochlear implants and metal plates in the skull. Your doctor will advise you.

Aftercare

  • Avoid washing your hair for 4 hours after treatment.
  • Mild redness, swelling, itching or soreness may occur and typically settles in 2–5 days.
  • Use a pH-balanced shampoo for the first 3 days.
  • Avoid dyes, straightening and topical hair-loss products for 3 days.

Many patients notice reduced shedding between the second and third sessions, and improved thickness and density between the fourth and sixth. Results vary by individual, age, hair loss type and how consistently you attend treatment.
